adidas Bogey Boys - Originals Golf Capsule

We love to see adidas collaborating with other upcoming golf fashion brands and this month will see one of the most anticipated collabs yet - adidas Originals x Bogey Boys.

"Bogey Boys" is a golf and lifestyle brand striving to expand the game of golf to new demographics through personal expression & shaking up the status quo.

The brand was founded by the award-winning rapper, singer, songwriter, global superstar & golf obsessive Macklemore - otherwise known as Ben Haggerty - who also had a hands-on approach when it came to collaborating with the team at adidas, personally co-designing the collection to ensure the right fit, look and style for each item. 

The collection perfectly marries together the sporting and lifestyle heritage of adidas with the vintage "Bogey Boys" aesthetic, inspired by retro looks from the 70's and 80's that established new trends for fashion, lifestyle and sportswear.

“As the original sports brand, we’ve been designing product for sports like golf and tennis for more than 50 years,” said Dylan Moore, senior creative director, adidas Golf.

“As we continue our mission to be the most progressive golf brand in the world, this heritage gives us the luxury of revisiting our extensive archives for inspiration. Those now-retro designs were inspiring to us, and we know that golfers are once again looking for products that present classic, clean, and bold aesthetics with an attitude. Macklemore and the Bogey Boys team were the perfect partners for this because of their love for vintage apparel and eye-catching designs.”

The expansive, 16-item menswear collection includes four key polo shirt styles - some of which are ready to be worn by 3 Stripes ambassador Collin Morikawa during the practice rounds of the US Open in Los Angeles.

You can also find two colours of the straight-leg trousers which have been made with adidas’ WARPKNIT material and feature pintuck detailing down the front, while an iconic checkerboard Sweater Vest is also available in Collegiate Green to curate some signature adidas x Bogey Boys looks.

"This collab is a full circle moment for me and getting to be a part of the first apparel collection to use the Trefoil for adidas Golf is special,” said Macklemore.

"Taking inspiration from the iconic Originals brand and styles from the 70s and 80s, is a perfect fit with Bogey Boys. I love how the entire collection turned out – premium and performance fabrics that you can rock on and off the course. Can’t wait for this one to be out in the world."

A terry cloth tracksuit (jacket & pant co-ord) boasts signature adidas Originals 3 stripe detailing throughout - emphasising the on/off course appeal of the adidas x Bogey Boys range.

Two playful tee shirts feature a 'Welcome to the Clubhouse' graphic on the reverse; a cartoon which was sketched by the team of adidas designers & Macklemore himself.

A handful of accessories are also available to complement the range - including two five-panel rope caps, an adidas Originals x Bogey Boys branded leather golf glove & a luxury leather travel bag with green crocodile textures throughout.

A brand new spikeless footwear silhouette is also arriving as part of the adidas x Bogey Boys collection.

The "Modern Classic '80" - better known as the MC80 - combines a classic look with modern technology for pure style, comfort & performance.

This limited-edition version of the adidas MC80 golf shoe features an all-white premium leather upper, brogue stitch detailing & croc textures through the midsole for a rich & luxurious finish.

The shoe also features the iconic TORSION bar in the technical spikeless TPU outsole providing golfers with additional torsion control and stability, while BOOST cushioning is concealed in the heel for unmatched comfort.

Finally, the removable kiltie boasts a tonal crocodile skin texture along with the adidas Trefoil & Bogey Boys collab logo; further ensuring that the MC80 shoe will keep you looking fly & feeling legit both on and off the golf course this season.
