These limited edition Nike Air Max 1 NRG with the dark denim textile upper will drop on Monday 2nd December 2019; a style which first appeared on the feet of Nike athletes exclusively during the US Open at Pebble Beach. This eMAG article, published during that major championship, informs you all about the origins and the design inspiration of the "No Denim Allowed" drop from earlier this year.

No Denim Allowed | Nike Golf

The US Open 2019 will be the third major championship of the season and Nike Golf have just revealed their next special edition NRG lineup of footwear ahead of the event at Pebble Beach, CA.

"NO DENIM ALLOWED" might well be one of the rules that we all abide by - but this NRG release from Nike is setting out to rebel against the sartorial code of golf clubs worldwide. Denim jeans may not be permitted - but how about some denim golf shoes instead?

"It's a departure from the stuffy competition classics, out to give the game a much-needed breath of fresh air and inspired by iconic sporting rebels who dared to play different," said the brand's press release. "The No Denim Allowed pack breaks the mould with bold denim accents and playful florals just in time for Summer."

It's just the kind of fun, intelligent, witty and irreverent styling which we have grown to know and love from Nike Golf; the brand who brought us the progressive blade collar polo and who reintroduced the TW mock neck shirts to the hallowed turf of Augusta National. It's "Respectfully Bad-Ass" and "4 The Love of Golf" - and we love it.

In similar fashion to the previous major championship packs, four of this season's key footwear silhouettes will drop online at Golfposer later this month. Each style boasts some unique design features which pay homage to the host location of the US Open 2019 - such as the pink 100 emblem which is a nod to the centenary of Pebble Beach Golf Links itself.

No Denim Allowed | Air Max 1 G

One of the most popular footwear styles of the season so far has been the Nike Air Max 1 G and we fully expect this particular NRG style to be the most hyped to date.

The denim fabric accents are located at the mudguard and on the Nike Swoosh itself, while the bright and colourful floral print features through the clear spikeless outsole. Icon logos which celebrate the US Open at Pebble Beach feature on the tongue and heel, while the sockliner also makes good use of the floral print once more.

No Denim Allowed | React Vapor 2

The Nike React Vapor 2 golf shoes still remain as one of our favourite cleat styles and this particular silhouette will be exclusive to retailers in Europe once again.

The React Vapor 2 encompasses the eponymous "React" cushioning through the midsole, while the outsole makes great use of a cleat/AIT hybrid design for exceptional traction. The split tongue offers a break atop the foot for every step you take, while the heel counter also helps increase stability.

No Denim Allowed | Roshe G Tour

The Roshe G Tour golf shoes are still one of the most popular styles worn by the Nike athletes on tour.

This particular NRG style features an entire denim upper in the soft shade of blue, while the raised and contrast Swoosh also helps to make this style stand out for all the right reasons. The icon logo at the heel is finished in pink, easily matching with up the floral sole & sockliner.

No Denim Allowed | Tour Premiere

The Nike Tour Premiere golf shoes are arguably one of the most underrated golf shoes in the game today.

The pioneering FastFit technology offers both convenience and an improved fit with a locked down feel, while the no-sew overlay covering of the internal wiring system truly helps to clean up the look. The denim blue and white combination is super fresh and easy on the eye, again complemented by the bright coloured floral accents.
