Wells Fargo Championship Martin Kaymer 2014

Martin Kaymer is enjoying a return to form at the Wells Fargo Championship this week - find out what he's been wearing at Quail Hollow so far!

The Wells Fargo Championship is one of the highlights of the PGA Tour calendar for both the players and the fans and Quail Hollow is once again providing another fantastic setting for the tournament. So far this season, we have seen an emergence of youth and lesser known names and whilst we thought that the eventual winner might come from the group composed of McIlroy, Fowler and Blixt - but it is in fact Martin Kaymer who has captured our attention for all the right reasons!

So far in 2014, the Hugo Boss ambassador has not really been at his sparkling best to say the least; a continuation of the average form Martin showed in 2013 with just two top ten finishes. After another rather mediocre performance at the US Masters (T31), Martin came to the Wells Fargo Championship this week knowing that his game was beginning to piece itself together and, if he was to go low around the testing Quail Hollow course, his putter would be the telling factor. Two solid rounds of 69 over the first couple of days means that Kaymer is sitting at (-6), just three off the lead set by Martin Flores!

How appropriately timed this return to form is, however prolonged it may be, since our very own Professor Gee recently posted his Hugo Boss style guide with the key looks for Summer 2014! The Paddy Pro 2, which was modelled on the GP catwalk, is one of the Hugo Boss shirts which Martin Kaymer wore at the Wells Fargo Championship, with the Paddy MK being the other style which we saw gracing the greens at Quail Hollow. The Martin Kaymer x Hugo Boss collection is the range which Martin wears on the PGA Tour more often, but in recent weeks we have also seen him take a liking to the brand new Summer 2014 collection, too.

Martin Kaymer evidently loves the Hugo Boss Zelchior Pro quarter zip sweater; he wore the new White and Bright Blue colour ways at the RBC Heritage Championship along with the White and Nightwatch Navy versions at the Masters last month. In our opinion, golf knitwear simply doesn't come much better than the Hugo Boss with some great designs, fresh colour ways and the invisible, water repellent coating on the fabric which elevates these golf jumpers above any other.

Speaking after his first round, Martin said that once he gets the putter firing on all cylinders then he has real potential to go low around Quail Hollow (he had back-to-back eagles on Thursday) and we think he is in with a real chance of his first victory since the PGA Championship win back in 2010.
