Sustainable Golf Wear by Galvin Green

We explore the latest offering of sustainable golf wear by Galvin Green with some garments having been made from 100% recycled plastic - truly putting the "green" in Galvin Green.

Galvin Green is a brand which aims to supply "the most sustainable products" in the golf wear sector and this year sees the brand becoming ever more environmentally responsible than ever.

It's all thanks to the introduction of their brand new Insula Layering range which has been made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.

As an example, the fabric from this season's Insula sweaters will contain recycled polyester derived from as many as seventeen 1L plastic bottles - salvaged before they needlessly polluted our environment.

“Sustainability is part of the Galvin Green DNA and the new recycled polyester Insula range reflects that fact perfectly,” said the brand's CEO, Nicholai Stein.

“There is no compromise on the comfort or performance levels and it spearheads the new sustainable garments that we plan to introduce on a larger scale in future.

“We always set out to introduce cutting edge technologies to maximise a golfer’s performance, while at the same time, looking to minimise environmental impact. Sustainability is also defined by long-lasting comfort and durability from well- designed garments that will last the test of time.”

Most golfers will already know all about Galvin Green Insula golf wear which provides some of the most reliable performance when the conditions are on the cooler side.

What's more, we've also seen much greater attention to detail when it comes to the styling of the garments in recent seasons - meaning that they fit and look better than ever.

The durable fabrication has a soft handle and is comprised of airy chambers for thermal heat retention and ultra lightweight comfort.

The natural stretch through the fabric leaves you with a perfect range of motion, while the outstanding levels of breathability mean that you'll always feel dry on the inside, too.

What many golfers might not know, however, is that the entire Galvin Green Insula range is made with fabric approved to the globally recognised bluesign standard for environmental textile production.

So, that means that even the garments which aren't entirely made from plastic bottles are still responsibly sourced and crafted with sustainability in mind. The same is true of every GORE-TEX waterproof garment in the latest Galvin Green collection.
