Our style editors explore the all new adidas EQT golf clothing collection for SS21.
30 Years of adidas EQT
When it comes to adidas - the term "EQT" is an abbreviation for "Equipment".
To trace back the origins of the adidas EQT line - we have to head back to 1991 when the brand refocused their efforts on styles that were more simple, functional and performance based.
It led to a stripping back of the bells and whistles and greater emphasis on the core purpose of adidas products; a more "no-nonsense" approach than normal.
Fast forward back to the present and adidas golf have utilised the "EQT" concept as inspiration for a new capsule within their SS21 golf apparel & footwear collections.
And boy, have they delivered some outstanding options for resfreshing your own looks this season.
One of our favourite styles from the range is the adidas EQT "Wind Crew" neck sweater which provides incredible performance and even better value for money.
The slightly raised crew neck silhouette provides both style and functionality; closing off a key area for heat loss with the addition of repeating Badge of Sport logos around the collar.
Increased functionality is also on offer with the new adidas EQT quarter zip pullover style.
This performance mid layer is super comfortable to wear and features a minimised BOS "Badge of Sport" logo beneath the placket.
The style is currently available in four colour options, with more to come later in the SS21 season.
Finally, the adidas EQT range also extends to include some of the best polo shirts the brand have produced.
The hero style worn by Collin Morikawa (the one which enticed you into reading this article) also features those repeating logos around the collar, along with a sporty quarter zip placket.
Meanwhile an even more fashionable option comes in the form of the EQT "Two Tone" polo shirt - currently available in two seasonal colours.
This polo shirt might well be built for functionality, but you will most definitely find us wearing this micro dot print polo off the course - complete with the up-stitched sleeve welts.
