Olajuwon Ajanaku and Earl Cooper's story began at Morehouse College, where they played on the golf team and led their team to a national championship in 2010. After college, Cooper became a Class-A PGA pro and earned recognition as one of the top instructors in the country. Meanwhile, Ajanaku pursued his dream of turning professional but faced challenges in securing sponsorship. Leveraging his degree in accounting, he initially worked in finance before deciding to create a brand that would allow him to be his own sponsor. This decision gave birth to Eastside Golf, named to honour Ajanaku's roots in East Atlanta.

The distinctive logo of Eastside Golf features a black golfer in mid-backswing, dressed casually in jeans, a sweatshirt & a gold chain. This image embodies the brand's ethos of authenticity & breaking down the barriers presented by traditional golf norms. Initially intended for his golf bag, the logo gained traction after Ajanaku and Cooper started printing it on t-shirts - leading to widespread interest and providing a platform for the brand's rapid growth.

Ajanaku's entrepreneurial spirit was complemented by Cooper's expertise and passion for teaching golf. Cooper's role as one of the top young instructors in America, and his previous positions at prestigious golf clubs, added credibility and visibility to Eastside Golf. Together, the business partners built a brand that not only offers stylish apparel but also inspires a new generation of golfers to embrace the sport in their own way.

Eastside Golf's breakthrough moment came when NBA star Chris Paul was seen wearing their apparel, significantly boosting the brand's visibility and sales. This exposure led to a partnership with Jordan Brand, resulting in a series of exclusive Jordan x Eastside golf shoes and collaborative capsules which celebrate significant moments in golf history - such as the end of the PGA of America's Caucasian-only clause in 1961. These collections not only celebrate the sport but also challenge its traditional norms, promoting a more inclusive and diverse golfing community.

The brand's appeal has attracted several high-profile enthusiasts - with the likes of Barack Obama, Patrick Mahomes, DJ Khaled, Dwyane Wade and CC Sabathia spotted rocking the "Swingman" - to name just a few. Other exciting collaborations with major brands like the NBA, Apple & Mercedes-Benz USA further cement Eastside Golf's status as a trailblazer in merging golf with contemporary culture.

One of the proud wearers of Eastside Golf apparel is Wyatt Worthington II, a professional golfer who has made significant strides in the sport. Born in 1987 in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, Worthington qualified for the 2016 PGA Championship through the PGA Club Professional Championship route; only the second African-American to do so. Having since made three more appearances at the PGA Championship to date, his journey and achievements reflect Eastside Golf's spirit of perseverance, skill & breaking down barriers.
