With the warmer weather now a distant memory, we take you through the latest offerings from Oscar Jacobson and their excellent range of mid layers and outerwear for Autumn/Winter 2014.
Oscar Jacobson have enjoyed a significant rise in popularity in recent months and their continued success is testament to the level of effort and dedication the team have committed to their golf clothing collections for 2014. Aiming to capture new followers from across the generations, the design team at OJ have created a sophisticated, stylish yet fully functional clothing range which appeals not only to the classic Oscar Jacobson customer but now also a younger market who have a keen eye for golf fashion.
The golf trouser used to be the Oscar Jacobson staple in days gone by, providing the essential core for every golf collection, but this is no longer the case. Much more care and attention has now been focused on the quality of their knitwear, outerwear and mid-layer selection and we have no doubt that this comes across as soon as you take a look through the garments on offer. "The OJ design team loves to play golf in the autumn. The courses are not as crowded as they are in the summer, the scenery is beautiful and the game tends to be more solid than in the spring," quotes the Oscar Jacobson website - and we think they have a point.
So, first up we have the Bradley golf jumper which is possibly the new OJ classic - a quarter zip pullover style with a warm fabrication, subtle contrast detail and the iconic Oscar Jacobson logos located at the left chest and sleeve. Four colours feature for AW14 - midnight blue, dark red, grey and black.
The 'Elijah Cardigan' is the full zip version of the Bradley, whilst the Aiden fleece cardigan has a slightly heavier fabrication and is featured in two colours for the new season. The Charlie sweater can be seen featured below (left), whilst the next level up once more brings us the Orson quarter zip jumper - boasting an internal lining to combat windchill on the golf course. These lined golf sweaters are certainly a notable trend which is well worth trying, you really do notice the difference in the weight of the garment and the warmth it provides in colder conditions.
Oscar Jacobson are also becoming well renowned for their golf knitwear, especially those products which feature a merino wool spun in Northern Italy - ensuring the utmost quality throughout the range. The Noah Tour sweater is a classic V Neck style, whilst the Bernard jumper is the popular quarter zip style available in no short of three colour ways (blue, navy and black). Oscar Jacobson merino golf wear is highly affordable and great value - something which you may only really appreciate to the fullest when you feel the quality of the product in your own hands.
In our opinion, the Oscar Jacobson golf collections get stronger every season and we are highly confident that you will love the knitwear and mid-layer offerings for Autumn/Winter 2014.
