Nike Golf Clothing: 2014 Collection Review
Posted at March 15, 2014
The Nike Golf clothing selection for Spring/Summer 2014 has received top-class reviews from various golf blogs and here we pick out our favourite looks from the collection, including those set to be worn by Rory McIlroy at the Masters 2014!
Nike Golf. Perhaps the most instantly recognisable clothing brand in golf, with the iconic Nike Swoosh now worn by a plethora of the world's top professionals including messrs Woods and McIlroy. Until now though, some have felt that Nike have not quite lived up to expectation in recent years in terms of their golf apparel offerings for such a famous golf brand; many certainly felt that they failed to compete with the likes of Puma Golf in terms of style appeal and for clothing which truly stands out on the course. The 2014 collection for Spring/Summer, however, is set to prove all of the doubters wrong.
'Unleashed' is the word which features on every SS14 campaign image, a perfect word to describe this Nike golf clothing collection. Vibrant colours such as Venom Green, Turf Orange and Crimson Red breathe new life into the range and perfectly complement the classic tones of white, black and blue - whilst a whole host of these colours are also featured in the Dri-Fit golf trouser selection, too. We have already seen the likes of Rory McIlroy and the in-form Russell Henley turning heads on tour this season - and not just for their top-class performances.
Some of our favourite styles from the new range without a doubt include Nike Ultra 2.0 golf shirt, which has a solid block colour design with a contrast collar and is featured in a host of colours, whilst the more design-led Lightweight Innovation polo shirt is set to be worn by Rory McIlroy on each of the four days of the 2014 Masters at Augusta. In recent weeks, the rejuvenated Northern Irishman has been answering his critics once again and his return to form has had many top pundits tipping McIlroy for major success in 2014; a predicition which we would find hard to argue against.
Russell Henley, too, has had an exceptional start to 2014 to follow on from his stellar performance on the PGA Tour last year. So far, we have seen Henley wear the Innovation Graphic polo shirt and also the new Vivid Blue colour way when he claimed victory at the Honda Classic last month and we look forward to tracking his progress throughout the coming months. Other Nike athletes to look out for this season would be GP favourite Thorbjorn Olesen and the ever-stylish Nick Watney, too.
In short, the Nike Golf clothing collection is finally proving its worth with an extensive range of stylish golf polo shirts, Dri-Fit golf trousers and even a full waterproof Nike rain suit, brand new for 2014 (which is great value, too). We love it, we are sure you will love it and you can now discover the entire 2014 golf clothing range right here with Golfposer >>
