Hugo Boss Pro Range

We take a closer look at the brand new Pro Collection from top designer label Hugo Boss - as worn on tour by Martin Kaymer and Nick Watney!

Yesterday, Sergio Garcia won a rain-delayed Wyndham Championship in North Carolina to secure the penultimate automatic qualification spot for the Ryder Cup - which takes place at the end of September - whilst Martin Kaymer must now hope Nicolas Colsaerts does not finish in the top two at the Johnnie Walker Championship this week in order to hold on to that all important tenth place. Hugo Boss wearer Kaymer hasn't played to the best of his ability by any means in recent months - with two missed cuts at the final two majors of the season - but back in 2010 Kaymer contributed 2.5 points from a possible 4 to help push Europe towards that eventual single point victory!

Hugo Boss have been working closely with Martin Kaymer over the past few seasons to integrate a special MK range within their own green label golf collections and such an input from a former World Number One golfer makes the Hugo Boss AW12 Pro range arguably the best in designer golf wear! The Hugo Boss brand is renowned across the world for their supreme quality and fantastic design, wth the current collection featuring fresh twists on classics such as the Paddy Pro shirt and Zelchior sweater alongside brand new styles such as the Pollan roll neck and Payton Pro shirt.

One of the most popular shirts from previous Hugo Boss Green Label collections has been the 'Pierick Pro' shirt and, although this exact shirt is excluded from Autumn/Winter 2012, the new Payton Pro is largely based on this fashionable quarter zip design and looks great with stylish panels at the shoulders and sleeves. The Payton is available in three colours - White, Medium Blue and Black - and comes in a modern fit to complete an all round sporty look.

The popular Paddy Pro returns for AW12 and this season is available in five brand new colour ways - from a Bright Red through to a seasonal Grey with hints of purple. The Paddy Pro has contrast double tipping on the collar and sleeve cuffs and also a contrast inner placket - whilst the cotton/polyester mix fabric itself has been optimised for golf to give you as much comfort on the course as possible. Twists on the Paddy style are also included in the collection, with the technical 'Pro 1' featuring moisture management and lightweight Nanotex 'Pro 2' shirt also available in a range of colour options.

For the first time, Hugo Boss have included in their collection the exciting sustainable fabric from S. Cafe which is made with recycled coffee grounds and is fantastic for golf with permanent odour control and UV protection. The Pollan MK Roll Neck polo is made with this innovative fabric and also looks great in either black or white with the Hugo Boss tour logo at the neck and wrist - an ideal piece for the Autumn/Winter season. Wear this long sleeve roll neck shirt on its own or as a base layer (as shown below) in colder conditions for a stylish look and even better performance on the course this season!

Hugo Boss golf trousers are some of the best in the game having been designed with the aid of professional golfers and have plenty of clever pockets for specific purposes such as for your tees, marker, valuables and also anti-slip tape pocket for your golf glove. The fabrics used are soft to the touch and include water resistance to keep you dry and comfortable in wet conditions. The Haddys Pro 5 also look great with fashionable Hugo Boss branding on the turn ups - as shown in the scroll over image below!

Also included in the current Hugo Boss range is very classy array of Pro Knitwear which each uses an invisible water repellent coating on the fabric and look amazing with contrast stripe detailing across the upper chest and rear. With three styles of knitwear available, you have a great selection to choose from to complete your Hugo Boss outfit for the Autumn/Winter season! A range of accessories from hats to snood scarves are also available, whilst the fantastic Black Monday designer golf shoes have thus far proven very popular amongst GP customers!

The Johnnie Walker Championship at Gleneagles begins this Thursday and only a first or second place finish for fellow German Nicolas Colsaerts will prevent Martin Kaymer holding onto that final Ryder Cup place - with Jose Maria Olazabal to announce his two Wildcard picks on Monday the 27th. We believe it will be a difficult decision for Ollie, but it is widely expected that (provided Martin does indeed secure his automatic place) Ian Poulter and Nicolas Colsaerts will be the final players to make up Europe's Ryder Cup team for 2012!
