Golf Polo Shirts
Posted at April 26, 2013
With the warmer weather showing glimpses of its arrival this week, we thought to take a look at the best of the golf shirts on offer from our latest brand collections!
This season, we have gone bigger and better than ever with the range of choice on offer from across our top golfing brands and here we pick out some of our favourite styles and colours for on the golf course! With the number of technical features rising year upon year, here we will also make sense of the technical jargon used across the brands with an aim of providing some clarity on how these golf shirts aid performance and leave you feeling as comfortable and as fresh as possible in the warmer Spring/Summer weather.
Beginning with a brand best known for their waterproof golf clothing, Galvin Green also provide some fantastic apparel and their fresh Spring/Summer range is a neat collection with some very stylish polo shirts featured. Galvin Green champion the 'Multi Layer Concept' and design every piece in their collections around this idea of mixing and matching garments to build the perfect outfit for any weather conditions and with Summer (hopefully) not too far away, the Max Tour shirt is the perfect golf shirt for warm and sunny weather. Sweating is the human body's natural reaction to an increase in body temperature and the moisture wicking fibres in Galvin Green shirts are fantastic for dispersing this extra moisture to keep you dry in key areas and as a result, far cooler than with many other golf shirts.
Every top professional knows the importance of golf clothing to their game, as we saw at the Masters a few weeks ago with the likes of Rickie Fowler sporting the very latest from Puma Golf, as seen above! Rickie works very closely with Puma to develop a brilliant range every season and using his professional feedback and opinion, the design team can incorporate the best technological features around such as DryCell and TransDry moisture wicking technology. This works very much in the same way as with Galvin shirts to leave you as dry and comfortable as possible whilst also reducing cling - key for maintaining concentration for ever shot on the course.
Other performance style golf shirts which we love for the new golfing season come from two of our newest brands, Oakley and Nike Golf! Since recruiting former Masters champion Bubba Watson, Oakley have gone from strength to strength and we love the look of this latest collection and also include clever anti-bacterial fabric inserts at key areas to prevent odours and maintain the freshness of the shirts for longer. 'Maximum breathability' is something which many golf shirt producers strive for and this term simply refers to the way the fabric prevents body heat and moisture build up, something achieved by Oakley with HydroMAX technology and Nike with their Dri-Fit fabrics.
At the higher end of the golf shirt market is both the Green Collection from Hugo Boss and the sublime RLX golf range from Ralph Lauren. Both of these collections well and truly stand out from the rest of the Spring/Summer ranges and are two of the most popular at Golfposer for sure. Hugo Boss now release four collections per year and the Summer 2013 range is now beginning to arrive online, with fresh colour ways and a few all new designs also included. As worn by Luke Donald, the RLX range has been incredibly successful and as a result - new stock is set to land online and in-store very soon!
The weather is brightening up and we are sure all of you are looking forward to getting more time out on the golf course so it's time to update your wardrobe with a few brand new golf shirts which will have you looking great and feeling better all season!
