Baggy Golf Pants
Baggy golf pants are bringing a more relaxed look to the fairways, with Tommy Fleetwood, Rory McIlroy and Jason Day among the players leading the move towards wider legs and roomier silhouettes. After years of slim fits and tapered ankles, golf trousers are taking a different direction. Think more room through the thigh, a fuller leg and an easy drape over your golf shoes.
The shift reflects a wider movement in menswear, where relaxed tailoring and looser proportions have become part of everyday dressing. Fleetwood’s understated approach and Day’s statement outfits show different ways to wear the trend, while McIlroy’s adoption adds another influential name to the mix. From subtle straight legs to more pronounced wide fits, there’s room to find your own take.
Style baggy golf pants with a tucked-in polo and a clean belt for a balanced look, or add a relaxed mid layer for a more casual finish. Keep the waist fitting correctly and choose your leg length carefully to give the extra volume a considered shape.
