We are very excited to introduce the first ever Luke Roper Golf Collection online and in-store! This fantastic line has been 18 months in the making and here we take an in depth look at the amazing range of golf shirts, knitwear, golf trousers and outerwear on offer from today!

Earlier this year we brought you the news that the hugely popular designer brand Luke 1977 had announced that their first ever golf-specific collection was set to be released for the Autumn/Winter 2012 season - and now it is finally here! The team at Luke definitely know how to throw a party and at the start of July the Luke Roper Golf Day took place to launch this top quality range of golf clothing. With celebrities such as DJ Spoony, Mark Albrighton and bands such as The Enemy all taking part at Calderfields Golf & Country Club in Walsall - the day proved a fantastic success with entertainment in the form of tribute acts, live DJs, a casino and the fire-breathing dancers as seen below! It was a fitting way to launch the new collection - which embraces the slogan 'Duri Mango Ad Percutiendum' or 'Strike Hard Go Large'.

We love the modern range of fashionable golf shirts, from the trendy colour combinations to the attention to detail in every shirt. The Moortown polo shirt is available in six colours and features a funky raised rubber golf ball print on the rear right shoulder and this micro dot print is a feature on every LRGO shirt, alongside the stylish black and red stripe on the right side of each collar. The fabric of the Moortown top itself is a cotton/modal textile mix - with the cotton allowing for fantastic breathability and comfort whilst the modal offers warmth and a resistance to colour fading/shrinkage which makes this a fantastic shirt for on the golf course this Autumn/Winter season!

Further shirts included in the LRGO range for AW12 include the Worcester and Pinehurst styles, each with funky pattern detailing. The Worcester shirt looks incredibly fresh in both the Black/Hot Coral and White/Hot Mint colour combinations and is made from 100% cotton jersey to keep you as comfortable as possible on the course this season. Again with the raised rubber golf ball print, signature collar stripe and famous Luke Lion Crest - the Worcester shirt is instantly recognisable as a Luke Roper shirt and this is sure to look great on the course and in your clubhouse this season! The Pinehurst shirt boasts a trendy all over argyle pattern which is very smart with the contrast collar and cuffs and also features the brand new Luke Roper Golf logo (also on every shirt) with an intricate button in the place of the golf ball of the logo.

The Ridgewood golf pants from Luke have been designed with input from both golf professionals and amateurs and this has led to some clever design features for these great golf trousers. The design team have pioneered a Swing Smooth waist band which shapes with your body as you swing for supreme comfort and freedom of movement, which works together with the added stretch of the cotton fabric to provide an unbelievably comfortable set of golf trousers. These Ridgewood pants also boast three rear pockets - designed wide and deep enough for scorecard holders - along with two side entry pockets to avoid any swing obstruction. Another intelligent feature is the concealable tee holder which can either be buttoned outside the pocket (as pictured) or concealed within the upper rear pocket. Finished with the Luke Lion on the front yoke, these golf pants are available in Hot Coral, Stone and Black and match perfectly with any LRGO golf top. 

A piece much required on any UK golf course this season is the Luke Ganton Harrington style golf jacket, which is fully lined and waterproof and is at an excellent price for the Autumn/Winter 2012. With a full, concealed zip and a concealable hood - this golf jacket is a great piece of outerwear and shows off LRGO branding at the left chest, right arm and also left cuff where that famous Lion Crest is displayed. Again designed with the professional golfer in mind, this waterproof golf jacket is a regular fit to give you as much freedom of movement as possible during the golf swing, whilst the jacket is also light enough to pack away into your golf bag and throw on when those inevitable rain showers strike.

Rickie Fowler is in action at The Open Championship this weekend and here is a look at the brand new Autumn/Winter 2012 collection from Puma Golf, including the outfits Rickie has been wearing all week!

The 141st Open Championship has seen some fantastic crowds and beneficial weather thus far has allowed for some fabulous golf at Royal Lytham and St Annes. Rickie Fowler made the cut and after day three currently sits at +3 after a solid round of 70 today. He may not be in contention come Sunday evening - but Rickie will certainly be remembered at these championships for his stand out Puma style, just check out his influence on the fans below!

We have loved every outfit put together by Rickie this week, from the fresh Vibrant Orange combination Rickie is set to wear tomorrow to the very classy Black/Plaid outfit from Friday. The brand new RLX golf collection for Autumn/Winter 2012 - which you may well spot Luke Donald wearing this weekend at The Open Championship - is starting to arrive online and in-store!

Luke Donald is in action at the 141st Open Championship this week - which is being held at the famous Royal Lytham and St Annes Golf Club in Lancashire - and you may have noticed the current World Number One wearing the luxury performance line from Ralph Lauren, RLX Golf. The brand new collection for Autumn/Winter 2012 has started arriving and the following is some of our favourite pieces along with a preview of what is still to come!

RLX golf shirts are made with highly technical fabrics and are excellent for keeping you as comfortable as possible on the golf course this season. The brand new Multi Stripe Tech pique is made with 95% CoolMax fabric and this features moisture wicking capabilities and a very high level of breathability to keep you dry all day long. This golf shirt is available in two colour ways of White and Black, each with stylish Red tones through the stripe detailing and RLX branding at the neck, chest and sleeve. 

The Pocket Stripe Polo Shirt, as worn by Luke Donald, features thinner stripe detailing all over and a fashionable chest pocket which is finished with a classy RLX metallic ID tab. With added stretch for freedom of movement during the golf swing and handy pockets at the front, this full zip golf sweater from Ralph Lauren is an excellent piece for this Autumn/Winter season.
